In addition to leading God’s people in the genuine worship of HIM, Jesus expected His Church to be committed to taking the Gospel throughout the world and creating new disciples. Calvary Surfside has always been committed to Serving Christ through missions.

Pastor John was invited to be the principle speaker at a Calvary Chapel of India pastors conference. He taught an in-depth series on the Beatitudes from the Sermon On The Mount, and how they frame what it means to be a follower of Christ. Then each evening, he was taken to remote and very poor village churches to preach the Gospel and encourage the congregants there.
Huacho and Lima, Peru — 2012 & 2013
These were Calvary Surfside’s first two short-term missions trips with members of the church participating. We worked with Calvary Chapels in Lima, and Huacho, Peru as well as meeting with Christian Surfers of Peru. In Huacho, we helped frame out a house for a church family who lived in a dirt floored shanty.
We also did much renovation work at CC Huacho as well has putting on a musical outreach at a local shopping mall which led to several new people coming to the church. We also went and blessed and served at a local orphanage, a drug rehab center and a home for the elderly.
